Blessed not stressed…..(Prov 10:22)

It is okay to need help and look up to others to receive some assistance in life. However, when anyone expects to partake in what you have simply because they you have it, then that’s out of place.
A lot of people get bogged down by a false sense of responsibility and find it difficult to say no to the unrealistic expectations of others. When you are not able to do this, you can pile on guilt for no reason and also feel ashamed for not meeting up.
One thing you need to do is to define your relationships and responsibilities properly. It’s okay to say no and not feel guilty. If you have it, you can determine what you do with what you have. People shouldn’t dictate that to you. If God has blessed you, there should be no sorrow with it. So don’t let those unrealistic expectations take your joy. People will always have an opinion no matter what you do.
If you have a tough take with budgeting, make a decision ahead of time on how much you are dedicating to charity and stick to it. Never let shame make decisions for you because that is not giving from a good place, that is manipulation and you will feel taken advantage of rather than being a blessing.
