People blessing or people pleasing…. 🤷♂️🤷♀️(2Cor 8:12)
You are called to be a blessing not a pleaser. What God expects and accepts from us as service is giving from what we have.. especially doing so with a willing heart. God has not called us to people pleasing or conforming to the standards of men. God Himself meets our needs according to His riches not according to our dictates.
If anyone is not appreciative of your efforts, it might be you are not responsible for that need because you don’t have the capacity and you can’t give out of what you don’t have.
Now, you need to apply this to every area of your life. If God has called you to do something, even if you don’t feel like doing it, you will find out that it’s something you can do, albeit uncomfortable. However, if having done your best and there are still complaints, then you have to pull up some restraint on your emotions. Appreciate your efforts so you don’t let ingrates devalue your seeds and harvests. Be thankful for what you are able to do and thank God for the blessings that are coming your way. For we serve God with our efforts and not by the approval of men.
