Keep showing up

Keep showing up….πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ (Heb 4:15)

The imposter syndrome has a lot of people doubting their skills or credibility. When you need the same service you provide, it doesn’t mean you are not competent, it only shows you are human and it underscores the relevance of your service.

As a matter of fact, being a subject matter expert or service / product specialist is proof that you are aware of the need and thus the importance of the field you serve in.

As an example, some pastors are afraid of asking for help or prayers because people come to them for same; some counselors want to hide their personal struggles because people see them to sort them through their own challenges; doctors who fall ill may fear being seen as incompetent. These are all faulty mindsets.

When you are authentic in your personal and much more in your professional life, people are able to relate easier with you because they can identify with you.

Even the word tells us that Jesus was not unfamiliar with our struggles, He could identify with us. So we know He understands our issues. When we see that people are transparent, it helps us to feel more at ease with them because they understand what we need.

And so rather than allow your points of struggle be of shame, let it be a bridge of understanding between yourself and those you serve.

You are relevant not because of what you need but because you can provide solutions to those who need your services.
