God is completely in control of all things but that doesn’t make him controlling. Despite being sovereign and omnipotent, He doesn’t abuse His power but allows people to make their choices and the consequences that follow those decisions.
Sometimes, people ask why God allows bad things to happen. God doesn’t work with evil but people make evil choices. He has laid down structures and people decide whether they comply or not. We live in a connected world where actions of one spill over to others.
However, you also have an option to turn those into favorable outcomes for you. A great comfort for you who trust in God is knowing that He is faithful and able to make things well for you as you engage in constructive steps. So your life is not a sum of other people’s decisions but an intentional result of what you do with what comes your way.
And so, in the spirit of respect for self and others, please don’t in the name of care or concern try to force or manipulate others to do what you think is best. Give your suggestions or make your requests and leave it alone. This is a great way to show respect. Anything outside this can be rightly termed harassing or controlling.
